In Memory of Brenda-Grace

Every one who met Brenda loved Brenda. She touched the lives of so many with her exuberant, open-mouthed greeting, gregarious grunt, and willingness to gracefully plop down for a belly rub. People would walk away knowing they had met an intelligent, sensitive creature who exuded confidence. For those who considered pigs "dirty" or "lacking in intelligence", it was an eye-opening experience to gaze into the inquisitive, soulful eyes of Brenda-Grace. No one left thinking Brenda was stupid or without emotions. Brenda was the kind of pig who changed people, and that is a power many try to harness, but fail miserably at achieving. Brenda did not even have to try –she simply existed and people knew.

She lived her life without a care in the world and she left this earth in peace, surrounded by those who loved her. And, although her passing leaves a hole in our hearts and her absence fills us with sorrow, we celebrate in the joy that her life represented, the triumph of her spirit, and the radiance of her being.

We will miss you Brenda-Grace, but we treasure the nine wonderful years we shared together.
