San Francisco, CA residents - looking to adopt small?

Look no further than San Francisco Animal Care and Control! The shelter currently has an overabundance of the small and fuzzy, and the cute and feathered!

Rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, rats, chickens, parakeets and quail are all looking for their forever home at the shelter.
Remember, these companion animals need as much love, respect and good treatment as dogs and cats.
If you are unfamiliar with these critters, do your research - you'll find they are just as engaging as dogs and cats!

San Francisco AC&C is
located at 1200 15th Street. Their number is 415-554-6364.

Check out their adoptable animals.
Tofu Nuggets
Enjoy the nuggets without the chicken! Use tofu or veggies instead.

Ingredients
1 box firm or extra firm tofu
1/4 cup soy milk
1 Tbs. nutritional yeast
1-2 tsp. curry paste or Dijon mustard (optional)

Breading Ingredients
1/2 cup quinoa, ground in coffee grinder
1/3 cup cereal (flakes), ground in coffee grinder
Spices (optional: tumeric, curry, paprika, allspice, cumin)

Directions
Preheat oven to 350 F. Drain tofu, pat dry and cut into nuggets, random shapes or sticks. Place on plate or in bowl.
Combine soy milk, nutritional yeast and curry paste/mustard in bowl. In another bowl, mix together the quinoa, cereal and spices (optional). Dip tofu into soymilk, then coat in breading. Place tofu pieces on well-oiled cookie sheet (or parchment paper on cookie sheet).

Bake for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown.

You can dip in ketchup or your favorite dip. Try vegetables as well, mushrooms and sweet potatoes are also tasty breaded!
