Companion Animal Disaster Preparedness

Oct 29, 2007 - Our thoughts go out to our southern California neighbors who suffered great losses from the fires that ravaged hundreds of thousands of acres. The fires are a painful reminder to do your best to be prepared in the case of an emergency.

Animal Place is working with local area groups in preparing for a natural disaster. Last month, several members of CERT (Community Emergency Response Team) came to the sanctuary for a 4-hour training session on caring for and handling livestock.
