First Victory!

Feb 29, 2008 - First victory! Californians for Humane Farms volunteers gathered enough signatures to qualify for the November ballot! We needed 433,971 signatures and we gathered nearly 800,000! At Animal Place, Nikki Woelk, Outreach Coordinator, did a phenomenal job of coordinating Alameda County.

The initiative will ban gestation crates, veal crates and battery cages - all confinement systems that cause unnecessary cruelty and suffering to animals. The initiative will appear on the November ballot, and we hope you'll vote for the animals!

Stay tuned for updates.
